Peterson Farms Seed Hires Research Director

Peterson Farms Seed is pleased to announce that Dennis Schultze has joined its agronomy department as Research Director.
Schultze, a Woodbury, MN native, has had a respected career in the seed industry with over 35 years of experience, more than twenty of those years focused on soybean breeding. Schultze earned his degree from University of Wisconsin – River Falls and was previously a soybean breeder for Dow AgroSciences and Mertec LLC.
Through his work in soybean breeding, Schultze has developed many of the varieties that have made up the Peterson Farms Seed line-up over the years.
“I have always been impressed with how Peterson Farms Seed develops relationships with their customers and I wanted to get back to a family run business that appreciates my time at work and home,” said Schultze.
Schultze will lead research efforts at Peterson Farms Seed for both corn and soybeans. This includes the largest independent program in the region with over 16,500 corn and 11,200 soybean plots. Schultze will also be using his experience to assist with genetic selections of products for the Peterson Farms Seed lineup.

When not searching out the world’s best corn and soybean varieties, Dennis likes to play golf, ice fish and spend time with his wife at their lake home.
