Enlist E3™ Soybeans- 5 Things To Know
As one of the first in the region to plant Enlist E3 soybeans four years ago, we have been consistently impressed with the system. Throughout the years we’ve planted larger increases year-over-year and seen great agronomics, great yields and no off-target movement with the herbicides. We call it “dead weeds and peace of mind”.
Why do I share this? Because four years of experience with this system has tough us a few things. Here are my top 5:
- Enlist is tolerant to 3 herbicides
- Glyphosate
- Glufosinate (Liberty)
- 2, 4-D choline
- The system flexible: you can mix 2, 4-D choline and glyphosate, use straight goods 2, 4-D or add glufosinate into the mix.
- Volatility is near 0: Enlist herbicide mixes have Colex-D technology which reduces spray drift by 90% and volatility by 96%.
- Wide application window: you can apply herbicide through R2 giving you a much wider window than other traits.
- Tough on troublesome weeds: when applied at the right time, Enlist is effective against kochia, lambsquarter, marestail, waterhemp and more.
Yield testing has occurred in our entire market footprint since 2011. While the delays in overseas approvals were frustrating, these delays allowed breeders to incorporate extensive disease packages into most varieties. That means we now have agronomics to fit most field conditions.
We have a great range of Enlist E3 soybeans varieties both in the Peterson Farms Seed and P3™ Genetics line-up.
If you’ve been considering adding Enlist to your operation, talk to your local Peterson Farms Seed dealer or give me a call at (866) 481-7333.
